Zoocasa  a real estate aggregator site in Canada has lost a court case against Century 21 Canada over the rights to screen scrape information off their website. The court found that Zoocasa breached the copyright of Century 21 when taking pictures and listings from the site even though it was explicitly forbidden to do so in the terms and conditions of use of the site. The decision may have further implications for scrapers active in Canada as it sets an important precedence.
